Welcome back to The World of Food Science!

I invite you on behalf of the Editorial Advisory Board to become a regular reader, and contributor, to the revised e-journal The World of Food Science, now published by The International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST).

We are seeking your views on suitable theme topics and focus papers for each volume that would assist you in your work, as well as contributions from around the globe for inclusion in the regular sections, including:

• Food security;
• Food safety;
• News from IUFoST Adhering Bodies and of relevant meetings, conferences and symposia;
• Views from undergraduate and postgraduate students about issues of relevance and importance to young people (training, jobs, networking), and reports from meetings and conferences they have attended;
• Changes to food standards and regulations affecting production, sale, export and import of foods;
• Significant policy developments in areas of considerable importance to food safety and public health, and consumer interest, e.g. nanotechnology; and
• Tell us about food scientists and technologists and engineers in the news in your part of the world.
